Move Over Sarah Palin, Robert Schlesinger is the New Righteous Defender of Retards Everywhere

Gurgling up from the Cesspool of the Grubby Left erupts a stinky bubble of false indignation. Witness Robert Schlesinger, regular believer reader of the fringe left site ThinkProgress, masquerade as the Righteous Defender of Retards Everywhere.

So, what’s the real story? You see, Schlesinger, a fanboy of Rahm’s, is angry, very angry, that Sarah Palin called for his hero’s resignation as Obama’s Chief of Staff. What’s scorned fanboy to do? Hold on to the wrath and unleash it a just the right moment, of course!

Enter Rush Limbaugh, determined to stir the puddin’:

LIMBAUGH: Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks. They are looney tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It’s in the news. I think their big news is he’s out there calling Obama’s number one supporters f’ing retards. So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House. Much like the beer summit between Obama and Gates and that cop in Cambridge.

Yeah, OK, Rush is being an insensitive ass, as usual. He wrong to compare liberal activists to retards – it’s an indignity to retards. Seriously. “Retards” are usually loving, innocent people. Members of the hard left are usually bitter, nasty, hateful, crude, creepy, and generally extremely unpleasant to be around.

Sarah’s response to Rahm’s comments was vehement and personal, but why – what’s behind it all?

How can anyone forget how Palin was treated by the “professional” press after she was announced as John McCain’s running mate? It was a mob mentality, Palin was outright abused by the press. Did Obama’s campaign do anything to dissuade the press from the hideous smears and maltreatment? Emanuel was Obama’s chief strategist and, considering his bully temperament, I suspect he actively encouraged the press to be horrible to Palin. We know that Emanuel, Time’s 2009 Person of the Year, has had an all-too-cozy relationship with the press. Remember Begala, Carville, and Stephanopoulos’ daily chats with Emanuel back in January 2009? Is there any question that he still “chats” with them on a regular basis?

We all know what’s going on. Emanuel is an ugly, blind partisan filled with Chicago-style ball-busting vulgarity. Is this really who the Democratic Party wants to be one office away from the President? Given Emanuel’s severe lack of grace on every front and on nearly every issue, selecting Emanuel for Chief of Staff not only shows poor judgment on Obama’s part; it shows political naiveté. Even lefty pundits have major reservations about Obama selecting him. It’s past time for Emanuel to go.

I totally agree that Palin should call out Limbaugh on his insensitivity – Limbaugh should apologize to the special needs community. But, Limbaugh isn’t a hyper-partisan public official with a history of inappropriate-for-a-public-officials vulgarity. Should he be fired? No. The now-defunct Air America radio hosts said much worse than Limbaugh, which probably lost them listeners and ultimately their jobs. The audience will ultimately judge whether Limbaugh is still worth listening to.

As for Schlesinger, the newly self-appointed Righteous Defender of Retards Everywhere, he’s a hypocrite. I see no blog entry of his condemning Emanuel’s private-made-public comments. Fanboy Schlesinger is just as bitterly partisan as his hero, Rahm Emanuel. He’s interested in helping his side maintain power, not doing what’s right for special needs people.

Andrew Sullivan Unleashes His Inner Drama Queen Against Sarah Palin

I actually laughed out loud when I read this:

This is only the second time in its nearly ten-year history that the Dish has gone silent. The reason now is the same as the reason then. When dealing with a delusional fantasist like Sarah Palin, it takes time to absorb and make sense of the various competing narratives that she tells about her life. There are so many fabrications and delusions in the book, mixed in with facts, that just making sense of it – and comparing it with objective reality as we know it, and the subjective reality she has previously provided – is a bewildering task. She is a deeply disturbed person which makes this work of fiction and fact all the more challenging to read. And the fact that she is now the leader of the Republican party and a potential presidential candidate, makes this process of deconstruction an important civil responsibility. We take this seriously as we always have. We want to be fair to her, and to her family, and to the innocent people she has brought into the spotlight. And we are not reporters. We are merely analysts trying to make sense of evidence already in the public domain, evidence that points in all sorts of directions, only one of which can be true.

My God, the pot smoking/gay sex seeking Andew Sullivan went SILENT!  OMG - gasp! -  Stop the presses!

It’s just so…. shockingly childish. True to his narcissistic nature, Sullivan waxes dramatic that he is the Heroic (!) Stalwart against the Big Bad Evil Sarah Palin as though she’s some kind of grave threat to humanity’s existence. Though, I suppose many liberals do view her that way – they don’t cope well with the fact that she exists. She threatens their dark worldview.

Anyway, how amazing is it that Sullivan can say “we want to be fair to her, and to her family” and call her a “delusional fantasist” in the same paragraph? Excuse me for not believing Sullivan, he’s consistently been pretty horrible to Palin.

I have no doubt who is suffering from mental instability.

Soooo… Turns Out Obama IS Pals With Terrorist Bill Ayers

Oy, Obama is turning out to be pretty rotten.

Here comes news that Bill Ayers ADMITS writing The One’s autobiography, “The Dreams of My Father.” This means that Our Savior has likely committed literary FRAUD in the tradition of JFK, who disgracefully accepted a Pulitzer for a book he didn’t write.

Jack Cashill was RIGHT, and Sarah Palin was correct, too. I hope they thoroughly enjoy their vindication.

Here’s Obama Downplaying his Ayers connection, which reveals that Obama is truly a corrupt, smooth-talking politician who took advantage of the Democrat’s and the Lamestream Media’s blind adoration:

You were duped, America. Now we’ll know what it’s like to have a hard-left radical thug who pals around with terrorists as President.

UPDATE: Ayers was jerking chains:

Here’s what I’m going to say. This is my quote. Be sure to write it down: ‘Yes, I wrote Dreams From My Father. I ghostwrote the whole thing. I met with the president three or four times, and then I wrote the entire book.’” He released National Journal’s arm, and beamed in Marxist triumph. “And now I would like the royalties.”

Please keep the quotes coming, Terrorist Bill, I’ll be happy to oblige. I’m sure Obama’s feelin’ the warm fuzzies about now.

UPDATE II: Of course everyone strongly suspects he was really telling the truth, knowing the Lamestream Media doesn’t care:

SCOTT adds: Duncan Jaenicke observes in the comments:

I am a professional ghostwriter; of my 12 books, 8 of them were ghosted. I see you are being very careful to not make a hard-and-fast conclusion, based on Cashill alone, about who wrote Dreams.

Give it up. The question of writing style is not a speculative one; any person’s writing style involved choice of vocabulary, grammar, style and even worldview. These things are even more individualized than, say, a speaker’s voice. When faced w/ the blank screen, the mind reaches into its inner resources and works in almost a miraculous way to produce prose, copy, text.

Put another way, when you telephone your best friend, there is a chance that someone else will pick up the phone (if your pal is in the shower, say), but when your friend answers, you “know” immediately it is him. Apply this way of knowing to one’s writing style, carefully studied. It’s a sure thing. Forget nuancing the question of who wrote Dreams, why not write about something more important re: Obama?

The Ayers encounter at the book show by Englund/NR was, I think, authentic–Ayers was telling the truth, and then decided to put in that twinkle in his ey eat the end (the remark about him deserving the royalties) just to confuse the journalists, whom he hates.

BTW I have signed book deals where I, as the ghostwriter, DO get SOME of the royalties, so Ayers is not so far off base as he confessed to the truth.

Andrew Sullivan Stupidly Calls Douthat ‘Delusional’

Taking a disrespectful snipe at his former Atlantic colleague, Andrew Sullivan manages to show the world what a petty, disgraceful man he is:

Douthat’s Nixonian Delusions

Some helpful factual testing of Ross’s wishful thinking that Sarah Palin is the Evita for the right, ushering in a new era of criminalized abortion, closeted gays, federally subsidized churches, and lots of subsidies for “real Americans”. Mark Blumenthal analyzes herChristianist base here; Charles Franklin shows why everyone else is slack-jawed.

He didn’t even bother to cite his subject: Douthat’s original article, Palin & Her Enemies.

Douthat never claimed “Palin is the Evita for the right,” nor does Douthat advocate “criminalized abortion, closeted gays, federally subsidized churches, and lots of subsidies for “real Americans.” This really makes no sense because Douthat is clearly not Palin’s cheerleader:

But last Friday’s bizarre, rambling resignation speech should take her off the political map for the duration of the Obama era.

I suspect Sullivan is carrying a grudge against Douthat for this little gem:

If Palin were exactly what her critics believe she is — the distillation of every right-wing pathology, from anti-intellectualism to apocalyptic Christianity — then she wouldn’t be a terribly interesting figure. But this caricature has always missed the point of the Alaska governor’s appeal — one that extends well outside the Republican Party’s shrinking base…

…Male commentators will attack you for parading your children. Female commentators will attack you for not staying home with them. You’ll be sneered at for how you talk and how many colleges you attended. You’ll endure gibes about your “slutty” looks and your “white trash concupiscence,” while a prominent female academic declares that your “greatest hypocrisy” is the “pretense” that you’re a woman. And eight months after the election, the professionals who pressed you into the service of a gimmicky, dreary, idea-free campaign will still be blaming you for their defeat.

Ouch. These words must have burned bouncing around Sullivan’s tiny mind.

Maybe, too, Sullivan is just jealous that Douthat got the coveted NYT columnist slot and HE didn’t.

It wouldn’t suprise me. Really, it wouldn’t.

Arianna Huffington’s Lame Sunday Roundup

In her “Sunday Roundup,” Arianna Huffington demonstrates just how shallow her understanding of politics is:

The GOP’s Runnin’ Off the Rails tour continued this week with Sarah Palin announcing she will resign, Mark Sanford admitting he “crossed lines” with multiple women (while providing an instant new slang term for sex: “crossing the ultimate line”), James Inhofe welcoming Al Franken to the Senate by saying, “We are going to get the clown from Minnesota,” and John Boehner spending an hour on the House floor reading aloud portions of the landmark climate-change bill he labeled “a piece of shit.” Also this week, U.S. troops in Iraq were finally cause for celebration, fireworks, and dancing in the streets of Baghdad. It turns out it was not our arrival in Iraq that was greeted with flowers and sweets but our departure. It’s an agonizing lesson learned six years, $1 trillion, and 4,321 U.S. deaths too late.

All of the items cited are supposed to prove the GOP is “running off the rails.” It’s just so tiring to see either side of the political spectrum stoop to the extra-stupid strain of populism which declares the other side defunct because of the behavior of a tiny minority of it’s members.

Arianna Huffington is not a serious political commentator, she is a hack.

The Huffington Post as a whole emulates Arianna’s superficial treatment of politics, which is partly why it’s so popular. It’s mostly leftist authors are generally well known and their agenda-driven populist rants go relatively unchallenged.

DU: Sarah Palin Not Feminist Because Alaska Still Has Rape, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, Chlamydia & Teen Pregnancy

Lightning Rod of Left-Wing Hatred

Lightning Rod of Left-Wing Hatred

In a head-scratching forum post, Democratic Underground user CitizenPatriot shares a blog post by Sarah Jones criticizing Sarah Palin’s defense of women in the David Letterman/Slutty Flight Attendant fiasco.

In another unambiguous example of Palin Derangement Syndrome, Jones tries to reason that since Sarah Palin has not performed well enough in key (feminist?) crime/sexuality statistics, she just CAN’T be a REAL feminist.

Palin is calling all feminists to arms. OK. Well, Palin as feminist is hard to swallow, but she suggests we let her record speak for her. So, let’s take a peek.

Hmmm:

Alaska’s reported rate of rape per capita is 2.6 times the national average.

Anchorage has the ninth highest sexual assault rate of any city in the United States, and Fairbanks is ranked first, at 4.7 times the national average.

Alaska’s child abuse rate is six times higher than the national average.

The state continues to rank first or second nationally in the number of chlamydia cases, a ranking it has held since 2000. In 2006, the last year data was available from the Center for Disease control, Alaska ranked 25th in rates of gonorrhea and 28th in syphilis.

The Alaska birthrate among women ages 15-19 in 2006 was 44.3 per 1,000 teens, up 19 percent from 2005.

There are so many factors that affect crime rates it’s automatically disingenuous to fault any state’s governor for poor rates without a thorough explanation. By such hideously twisted logic, one could say Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick isn’t black because 45% of murder victims are black but only 5% of the state’s population is black. How absurd is that? It is the same with the Jones’ flimsy assertions about Palin.

It’s fascinating how the many on the left attribute god-like power to those they simultaneously hate and miscomprehend. Something about Sarah Palin really cuts them deep to their core.

Eminem Raps About Sex With Sarah Palin In New Single

Even though Eminem isn’t a blogger (oh, but he IS!), I wanted to devote a post to his sick behavior.

Breitbart video here. H/T Big Hollywood.

Lyric in question:

Give me my Ventolin inhaler and two Xenadrine and I’ll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner then nail her.

Would Eminem have said the same about Michele Obama, or any attractive woman who is a liberal political figure? Imagine the liberal outrage then. You’ll likely hear nary a peep from the MSM on this one.
