Michelle Malkin Leverages Her Crowbar

Michelle Malkin has taken intolerant Liberals to task for their double standards, disrespect, and lack of civility about the Miss California/Carrie Prejean fiasco.
But in the Age of Obama, there’s no room for such nuance and inconvenient truths. A decent young woman is a “dumb b*tch” for holding the same view of marriage as the Obamessiah. A conservative campus speaker is bullied as a hatemonger by wild-eyed hatemongers. A grassroots movement is debased as a bunch of racist vulgarians by a media mob of racists and vulgarians. Civility and tolerance have taken a left-hand turn down a one-way street. So much for changing course.
I disagree with Malkin’s assertion that left wing rage and incivility is merely an effect of  the “Age of Obama.” This has been happening for longer than a few months; and, it’s getting worse. Blogger Andrea Tantaros also leverages her crowbar, painting a more accurate picture:
This issue goes beyond beauty contests and reveals a much scarier truth: You cannot voice a dissenting opinion without being assaulted by the progressive left. The left is not interested in debating, only suppressing debate.  Destroying your life and career is the sentence for anyone who dissents on these issues. The activists will carry out the sentence with the willing assistance of a compliant media.
Many on the left incorporated rage and abuse into their political discourse during the Bush years and the Miss USA/gay marriage fiasco is partly a result of that incorporation. Conservatives must continue to challenge the left (and often themselves) to return to more civil and respectful discourse. If conservatives fail in this task, the left may well continue down the dark path of hate they have chosen.

Sicko Tubman: “Socialist” is Conservative Code Word For “Nig*er”

omg_wtf_modWow, you gotta be freakin’ kidding me. The Tea Party Movement really has brought out the ghastly, dark creatures from deep under the left blogsphere. The Hard Left’s screaming banshee Jill Tubman takes the “all conservatives are racist” narrative to a new, disquieting level in her post The Rotting Racist Underbelly of the Tea Party Protests:
I’ve been parsing the words and the racists have been very careful to cover their tracks and fury that a black man is President. But not well enough. I’m starting to become pretty convinced at this point that “socialist” is a some kind of code word for “nigger”.
Jill “You Were Racist at Hello” Tubman has been parsing a lot too much, methinks. Looking REALLY hard for her precious racist bogeyman (she just KNOWS it’s there sOmEwheRe), she uses an example of alleged racism from Michelle Malkin’s blog:
Some [protesters] were there because they’re maddened that the same glorious policies that have made Detroit look like Bangladesh after a garbage haulers strike are being introduced on a national level
Uhhhhh. That’s racist? No. But, of course, Tubman sees it VERY CLEARLY:
Huh? What does Detroit or Bangladesh have to do with Barack Obama? Oh that’s right, Detroit has experienced white flight, urban blight and economic devastation for years now, making some areas seem almost Third World. But that wouldn’t have anything to do with the crumbling U.S. auto industry and everything to do with the black mayors the city has been electing, right? The corrupt Kwame Kilpatrick notwithstanding, this sounds like a snarky, swiping slur directed at South Indian immigrants, African-Americans and unions all combined succinctly. There’s real racist animus here: check out the video above of Tea Party nuts convinced that Barack Obama can’t be president because he faked his birth certificate and is actually Kenyan by birth. My God — do you know what that means? It means a black man is illegally president! Because it’s just not possible for a black man to be president unless something has gone horribly wrong with the system! Citizens, act now and get to your local Tea Party!!!
The above labyrinth of logic is Tubman’s way of denying that Detroit’s policies are socialist and therefore Malkin MUST ObViouslY be racist for connecting Detroit, Bangladesh and “Obama.” Incidentally, where did Malkin mention Obama in the her post? She didn’t! Such minor details don’t concern Tubman, though. But, Malkin’s got it covered; she saw the race smear tactic coming from a mile away. So, then, Tubman screams on, this time about white supremacists “loving the Tea Party Movement.” She links to a thread on a supremacist forum-only website. I skimmed through the linked thread and, interestingly, I found the racist opinion leaders encouraging forum participants to attempt manipulation of the Tea Party movement. Furthermore, I found one racist give the movement the best endorsement a racist could give:
I don’t know how white these tea parties are anyway. And if they are now, subversive Jews will find their way in just like the BNP. The biggest problem is these movements start out more pure and polarized, but as time goes on and they are exposed to criticism and expansion they move left. If they’re already starting out pedaling moderate fiscal Republican crap, I shudder to think what it will end up as.
Yeah, they’re sure “loving” the Tea Party movement. After “re-activating [her] criteria for an undercover racist attack on Obama,” Tubman’s voice finally gets hoarse:
My main concern here is that the heated rhetoric around the protests could lead to violence against African-Americans, Jews and Latinos if some Tea Party recruits go from non-violent to violent. That’s why it’s important to drag the masked racism here out into the daylight so we can deal with it and force denials from their movement leaders before certain elements become more brazen and people start getting hurt.
LOL. Yeah, the Tea Party movement is about to turn violent. And Somali pirates are just misunderstood and Paul Krugman is frugal, too. Also, Tubman does a Great Job at keeping the “heated rhetoric” down to a minimum, don’t you think? But, hey, the Department of Homeland Security agrees with Tubman; nearly all conservatives are potentially violent. Perhaps that’s a future employment opportunity for her?
