Splendid post by Neo-neocon.
The Obama administration’s changing of the term “Global War on Terror” to “Man-Caused Disasters” and “Overseas Contingency Operations” indicates their deep desire to ignore the problem and pretend it’s no so bad.
In their minds, they have already put terrorists in therapy, which is really just another form of condescension. They can’t bring themselves to respect the terrorist’s claim that they want to kill all us infidels (everyone but them). They tell themselves, “Oh, you poor, silly terrorist, you don’t really mean THAT! Ha ha ha! Now, let’s talk about your anti-anxiety breathing exercises…”
They are so profoundly foolish. More innocent Americans will die as a result of their reluctance to see terrorists as what they really are. I wonder what the next terrorist attack will be called? 12/12? 6/30? The Bombing of Boston? The Destruction of the Target Center? The Toppling of the Space Needle?
Ugh, it sickens me to consider such things.
For the Record:
I think that “Global War on Terror” is ridiculously lame because you are declaring global war on an emotion. The postmodernists in the Bush Administration are to blame for that. It should have been “Global War on Terrorists.” If you don’t see my point, consider this: how does the “Global War on Joy” sound to you???
